Ames Via Austin

Hello everyone! I am Dr. Erin Thomas, D.C., and I’m originally from the Austin, Texas area. Though I maintained a private practice there and loved my patients- family called me here to Ames, Iowa. My partner, Christopher, is pursuing his graduate degree at Iowa State (go Cyclones!) and I have family in Fairfield, Iowa.  

Though a Texan, I pursued my undergraduate degree in Biological Anthropology from Beloit College in Beloit, WI- graduating with honors in 2009. I then decided to put my biology training to service and studied for my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX. Upon obtaining my license to practice, I served in the Austin area for five years- in settings ranging from outpatient clinics, to rehab centers, to private practices. 

In that time, I grew to realize my passion for providing simple, affordable, easy-to-follow care. I never enjoyed feeling that my patients were just insurance case numbers, with whom I had little time to help or get to know. My vision is to be a reliable, friendly guide along your wellness journey. It is this vision that inspired me to open my solo practice in Austin and the vision I bring to my new home here in Ames.
